My Online Shopping Experience with The Closet Label, and Styling Tips!

written by Payal Thaker

If you’re following my activities on Instagram, you already know that I posted this picture a few days ago. A lot of you liked my attire and asked me many questions. So, I thought why not write about it and share my first time experience with The Closet Label – Styled by Malaika Arora Khan! She is super gorgeous, and one of my favorite style icons from India!

I love to shop online, especially if there’s a cash on delivery option…Aah! How I love it! I buy most of my makeup/cosmetics online, and sometimes clothes as well. And if I find a really great online boutique, like The Closet Label, I would not hold myself back. So, I ordered this beautiful flowing long navy blue skirt for myself: Navy Essential Maxi Skirt :-))

My Experience:

1. I chose the cash on delivery option, which works perfect for me
2. As soon as I placed my order, I received a detailed email of my purchase
3. The next day I received a confirmation call and was asked very politely if I needed to change or add anything
4. I received my order in a week’s time
5. The best part; my skirt came in a beautiful purple velvet bag, nicely ironed and in very good condition, which was overwhelming!
6. As soon I received it I tried it on and loved it. I ordered a small size and it fitted perfect!

How To Wear The Navy Essential Maxi Skirt:

This is a multi-purpose skirt, you can wear it in so many different ways. You can wear it during the day while you’re running your errands, or going out for shopping and pair with your tee top and flip flops. For your night-outs you can wear it as a high waist skirt, top tucked in, stilettos, and some statement accessories.

How I Wore It:

So I was going out for a friend’s farewell dinner, which was organized at a very good place, and I wanted to look really chic and classy! I decided to wear this skirt, from The Closet Label, and my body hugging grey top, which is from Zara. I tucked it in for a more feminine and curvy look. I wore fitted black shorts beneath the skirt, in order to give my waist more definition and a good shape. I tied my hair in a neat ponytail, as it was too hot and open hair would not do any good. Then I added a beautiful handmade stone neck piece, which I bought from the Dubai Souk a few years back.

Final Words: I loved my online shopping experience at The Closet Label, and I‘m definitely planning to buy more stuff in future from them. So I would highly recommend that all you girls check out their collection and enjoy some exclusive shopping styled by Malaika Arora Khan. I promise you will love it!

Im planning to purchase a skirt too from the Closet Label. Being an online shopping addict too, I usually know my sizes when buying from foreign stores. I wear a UK10 which usually converts to medium for most brands but here when I saw the size chart, it recommended a size Small. What would you suggest? I can see you bought size small too. Can you give some other brand size conversion that you buy?

    • YourBeautyPal

Hi Sanya, I always wear small size with my bottoms. Mainly Uk 8. With closet Label I would suggest you get medium size, small size is too small.

  6. Tanvi

Hi! I absolutely love the label corp. All 3 brands have some lovely stuff.I ordered 4 pairs of flats from the trunk label and I love them all!

Do you know of any more such online stores? Which are this exclusive and classy…I’m usually turned off by most online fashion stores because of the variety of options, and i feel like i can’s rely on the quality or measurements!!

    • YourBeautyPal

Hi Tanvi, thanks so much love! I completely understand what you saying about the online purchasing dilemma. I get trapped so many times and regret it later but fortunately I have few trustworthy companies I always like to buy from. Have you tried Koovs fashion? It’s one of my favorites and I never hesitate before placing my order from them. Also the Forever 21 India has pretty good deals and I enjoyed shopping from them on my last visit in India. Apart from that Shopviola is also very efficient and trustworthy for accessories and other stuff.
